Black is a Criollo gelding, roughly 19 years old. He is Steve's horse and is a sweetie. He may be the root cause of me getting into gaited horses to begin with. He is a BIG boy compared to the Paso's and has been with us the longest. He is a gentle soul, but a commander of his troops (or we let him think he is).
I have no idea how I almost forgot to put Black on the page - he's such a central figure here. So here are two photos of Black - one with Steve on him.
By the way, Criollo's are another gaited South American breed. Black (no, I didn't name him) is about 15hh.
